The surveys conducted in America regarding political preferences among the younger ages are very disturbing. In one of the recent surveys, 51% of young Americans aged 18-24 thought it was right to hand over Israel to Hamas. Definitely a finding that should keep us up at night.
To better understand this generation, I looked deeply into a survey published today by Fox News, which includes a category of "under 30". I found that the positions of this generation are very strange and confusing. According to the survey, this generation supports Donald Trump more than the older generation! This is definitely not what you would expect from a progressive generation.
On the other hand, this is a generation indifferent to the conservative agenda, for example, the need to secure the southern border, and it is a generation that, as mentioned, is not friendly to Israel. After some thought and examination, it seems to me that there is a rule that characterizes the preferences of this generation - compared to the older generation, it always chooses the option that will cause more chaos. Much of the progressive agenda causes chaos, so it's clear why it appeals to the young. Neglecting to support Israel or overlooking border security, leading to an unceasing influx of poor immigrants into the United States - such actions have the potential to disrupt the global order. Conversely, the preference for Trump over Biden also seems to promise a certain degree of chaos.
The love for chaos may be related to the fact that change, by its nature, always is liked more by the younger generation, and reality TV-like thrills are more appealing to them. This love could also stem from ignorance, superficiality, and lack of understanding. There are reasons why things are as they are, and those who do not understand the world will not understand these reasons either. This is hinted at by the fact that the younger generation is also not particularly interested in politics (33% find little interest in the upcoming elections, compared to 10% of pensioners).
This is also a generation that is ethnically different. Whites are no longer a clear majority among them. The traditional world order, which was embraced and valued by the white man but often caused discontent in the global south, is not expected to persist. Pax Americana does not resonate as deeply with the younger generation.
I demonstrated the principle of chaos in answers to some questions and in a comparison between young people under 30 and pensioners over 65.
Positive attitude towards Donald Trump: Young 50%, Pensioners 40%. No wonder they like Trump, the candidate of chaos.
Positive attitude towards Nikki Haley: Young 22%, Pensioners 43%. She is a candidate of the old American order. What does this generation have to do with that…
Positive attitude towards Chris Christie: Young 13%, Pensioners 38%. Here too, he is a candidate of the old Republican American order.
Preference of Palestinians over Israelis: Young 40%, Pensioners 11%. A kind of chaos we Israelis will experience, God forbid, firsthand...
USA supports Israel too much: Young 40%, Pensioners 22%. Similar to the previous question.
USA should support Ukraine less: Young 33%, Pensioners 19%. A clear position of chaos that will lead to the disintegration of the world order, and what is interesting is that this position is now much more common in the Republican Party. The image that young people are simply more identified with the Democrats does not work here.
Opposition to the deportation of illegal immigrants: Young 55%, Pensioners 19%. Filling the streets of the USA with refugees from the third world, nothing causes more chaos than this, and the chaos is already evident in New York City. No wonder the young are excited about the concept.
Support for Robert Kennedy: Young 14%, Pensioners 9%. Although this result also proves my thesis, I was a bit disappointed. Support for a candidate who believes in conspiracy theories (COVID was created so Jews and Chinese are immune to it) and opposes vaccines seems the most natural thing for our chaos generation. Only a 5% difference between the generations is less than I expected.
Support for Donald Trump: Young 41%, Pensioners 36%. As mentioned, the ultimate question of chaos for 2024.
America needs a president who is willing to break the law: Young 39%, Pensioners 9%. This too is a clear question of chaos, and the gap between the generations is insane.
I find the simulation theory quite fascinating - the idea that our existence unfolds within a simulated reality, crafted by beings from another dimension who control this simulation. Perhaps the right way to understand the American Gen Z is to see it as created to fulfill the simulation creators' fantasy of chaos. It is a generation that will not leave a stone unturned from everything that came before it. It won't be pleasant, but it will certainly be interesting.
As a member of Generation Z, this is absolutely terrifying.
On the other hand, young people do support genetic enhancement.
